Erk to the Diary Room (Episode 14 - Random People Having a Sooky La La at BB)

It has become somewhat of a sport for people who aren't BB fans to have a go at BB. Some of them only get the chance to have a sooky la la to their mates but others get to have a whinge in the media as well. Many of the people start their whinge with "I've never seen an episode but............" or "I've only seen a couple of episodes but....." then they launch into their tirade, often ill-informed and un-factual. A classic example of this was the turkey slap incident last year. Distasteful as it was, it was never actually shown by Channel 10 or behind the company behind BB but it did appear on the interweb where it was seen by some people very late at night. The first it was actually seen on TV was by the current affairs programs on channels 7 and 9 hoping to sink the slipper into BB.


I had to laugh at one such sooky lalaee in Wednesday's Sydney version of Mx, that bible of truth (insert sarcasm emote *here*) that is published in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and is mainly handed out to public transport commuters leaving the CBD's every weekday afternoon. The people who write or text into Mx usually have a whinge and since BB started, that has been a hot topic.


Anyhoo, one bloke in Wednesday's edition had a whinge. He finally decided to tune in and caught a recent episode (I don't know which one) but he had a whinge because the show was unscripted and had no storyline (my bold). Well doofus, of course there isn't a script! That is part of the idea of BB! This isn't an episode of All Saints or The Young & The Restless or Neighbours you know! And if you've only watched one episode, do you really know what is going on, how the game works etc etc? Probably not!


How many people are there who whinge about BB only do so because it seems like a cool thing to do but have never actually sat down and watched more than one episode?
